Press release
Behind The Door reopens as Art Basel Paris returns to the iconic Grand Palais.
We are delighted to present “In The Mood For Love”, an exceptional group show featuring the work of seven remarkably talented Asian artists: Han Bing, Min Lanh Tran, Julia Jo, Yanjun Li, Sarah Lee, Anna Park, Yuzi Wu, and Miao Ying, the latter also participating in the “目” exhibition dedicated to China, to be held in parallel at the Centre Pompidou.
From October 14 to November 16, 2024, “In The Mood For Love” offers a fascinating immersion in the feminine perspectives of contemporary Asian art, where tradition and modernity are harmoniously intertwined. Hailing from China, Vietnam and Korea, these artists draw on their personal experiences and the cultural heritages of their respective countries to nourish their art and offer unique contemporary visions.
This exhibition highlights the emerging contemporary Asian art scene through the works of eight young painters, brought together for the first time in France.
